Now.

Sure, history rhymes but you can benefit by seeing how other men made themselves into corpses. May be the morbid impulse that so attracts some men to the study of military history.

Recommend reading “The Wasp”.

If you haven’t watched the four seasons of “Black Sails”, you should.

Trump campaign stickers are wonderful tools when applied to property and vehicles. Use an adhesive like DELO-MONOPOX VE403728 give the gift that lasts. Your local Grand Old Politburo HQ may have some for free.

Communists aren’t human beings and your penchant for individual freedom is now your uniform. They wish you dead if you don’t bend the knee. You should consider what legacy you are leaving to your children.

Get to the range. -BB

“If you want government to intervene domestically, you’re a liberal. If you want government to intervene overseas, you’re a conservative. If you want government to intervene everywhere, you’re a moderate. If you don’t want government to intervene anywhere, you’re an extremist.”

“By today’s standards King George III was a very mild tyrant indeed. He taxed his American colonists at a rate of only pennies per annum. His actual impact on their personal lives was trivial. He had arbitrary power over them in law and in principle but in fact it was seldom exercised. If you compare his rule with that of today’s U.S. Government you have to wonder why we celebrate our independence..”

“Need’ now means wanting someone else’s money. ‘Greed’ means wanting to keep your own. ‘Compassion’ is when a politician arranges the transfer.”

“When you internalize an author whose vision or philosophy is both rich and out of fashion, you gain a certain immunity from the pressures of the contemporary. The modern world, with it’s fads, propaganda, and advertising, is forever trying to herd us into conformity. Great literature can help us to remain fad-proof.”

“When your child is a little older, you can teach him about our tax system in a way that is easy to grasp. Offer him, say, $10 to mow the lawn. When he has mowed it and asks to be paid, withhold $5 and explain that this is income tax. Give $1 to his younger brother, and tell him that this is “fair”. Also, explain that you need the other $4 yourself to cover the administrative costs of dividing the money. When he cries, tell him he is being “selfish” and “greedy”. Later in life he will thank you.”

― Joseph Sobran

I have no political country. I am neither left nor right, both are virulent forms of government supremacism that lead to the same ruin of individual liberty. As I have said, democracy is simply the eradication of cannibals by eating them; eventually, government, every government, must extinguish uncontrolled liberty wherever it may be found. Joe Sobran was fired by William F. Buckley at National Review when he realized that no man is fit to rule another without consent and not through the soft totalitarian trappings of democracy and dared to say it out loud.

Sobran said it best: “The measure of the state’s success is that the word anarchy frightens people, while the word state does not.” Even the communists, the Neo-Puritans of government supremacism and the maximum state, have commandeered a word [anarchism] that simply means no man is ruled absent his express consent.

The USA is a sophisticated plantation but a serfdom nonetheless. You bend the knee not like the sports-ballers when the American socialist anthem sounds prior to their well-paid but silly vocations but you are supine before a house of rules whose majority of edicts declare the state as the sole victim. The length of a barrel on a defensive firearm has already been the bare pretense of plenty of violence exercised by the state against men and women just conducting their lives.

Taxes are not the price we pay for civilization nor is the “rule of law” the absence of barbarism. Both are hallmarks of the quaintly named politician who is merely a thinly disguised violence broker.

Excepting Ron Paul, can you name a single politician in your lifetime you would trust babysitting your kids much less being what is essentially your velvet-gloved gaoler? Every state is simply a free range prison.

Ironically, Antifa and BLM are simply cops without state sanction yet but they are the vanguard and champion of everything both parties hold dear: the Democrats are simply more brazen about their embrace of the communist ideals and the invertebrate Mensheviks in the Grand Old Politburo are cravenly curled on the floor at their feet. No matter who occupies the Offal Office, the government always gets bigger, more predatory and increases the pound of flesh it exacts from its supplicants across the fruited plain.

The beginning of the end was the ratification of the Constitution and the nails in the coffin of any individual freedom and liberty was the first government schools. States passed laws to make schooling compulsory between 1852 (Massachusetts) and 1917 (Mississippi). Once the state commands most of the waking hours of the young minds and the remainder of time they’re prisoners to electronic screens, the slaves no longer believe they are captives. The existential Stockholm Syndrome writ large that is the state simply sees you as a battery, a disposable battery, eminently replaceable.

Fear and obedience is the brick and mortar of the state.

Resistance is fertile.

“The real triumph of the state occurs when its subjects refer to it as “we,” like football fans talking about the home team.”

― Joseph Sobran

  1. The sad, depressing realization is that if most Americans were to read this they wouldn’t recognize the truth you so eloquently lay bare, Bill.
Unfortunately it’s a testament to the 12 years or more they spent in the government run mind laundries, if I may borrow your superb description thereof.
    Well done.

    1. Bot,

Most Americans would not be able to comprehend hardly a single word in Bill’s article much less recognize any truth.

Walking around the streets of Tucson I’m appalled at how many people are wearing masks.
I’d say around 98% of them.

I’ve recently been interacting with school-aged kids and it’s even more depressing.

I long thought that ignorance could be cured with learning but it seems to be a source of comfort for the unthinking.

    Oh, well.

    Getting prepared…

True in the facts, not to the context. Consider Washington, what was that drove him, for being a rich man indeed, he still led the army against the King. He could afford the taxes. In his writings he complained that he was paying top dollar for second rate merchandise shipped from England. He was fully aware he was getting gypped. The merchants were shafting him and had been doing it for some time. That anger turned to the realization that as a Colonial he was rated a second class citizen like the goods he was getting.

Sound familiar? It is what is going on in the banking system and downstream to MainStreet economy. The first tier banks are receiving Billions from the Fed at near 0% and selling it for 3-4% depending on demand. The % are even larger for overseas opportunities. Hell they don’t even print the money, its digital bucks on the ledgers. And on the back end with the bad debt? The banks sell that off for 10c on the dollar to collectors. Why can’t I buy back my bad debt at that discount??

  4. Hadn’t heard of, ‘Black Sails,’ but it’s now in the watch list; thanks for the recommendation. Have read the wonderfully instructive, ‘Wasp’ a couple years ago. Great novel! You’re right – anyone on any freedom blog or .com should get it in their library and read it several times!

  5. I appreciate your commentary and reading suggestions. Always good to expand the mind and challenge beliefs.

  6. I loved Black Sails but they failed to make a solid finish. Still a great watch in my opinion…..

  7. Libertarianism is a virulent mind poison just like Communism. Our ancestors would have rejected it. Libertarians could never have conquered the Indians and taken this land for our own.

As long as one is brainwashed by the state it is acceptable, but to form ones own opinions is wrong? Gotta love that kind of sick logic.

    2. Herr Lugh,

Glad you showed up to demonstrate the Stockholm Syndrome in all its terrible glory. Unfettered individual freedom is poison to you, the yoke is your mast of pride. Like the minarchist, while you object (possibly) to have the spear of the state shoved up your arse and tickling your tonsils, you don’t mind squatting on the spear just so it tickles your lower GI tract to show your political masters the bare extent of your minimal heroic compliance.

Such bravery, such tenacity in the face of struggle!

A mind that seeks a delicate balance between your compliance and fear, you rationalize your bending of the knee to a political master. That is simply the way of the world much like chattel slavery was the way of the planet until the idea started to lose currency in the nineteenth century. Cognitive dissonance in which you desire rigid flexibility in a fixed variable because you cannot comprehend being on your own solely in charge of your accountability and responsibility.

And I grant you the loathing of the libertarian or worse yet, the Libertarian. While that particular world view may be a single digit percentage of all of humanity, my worldview of a world intolerant to any form of human slavery is a single digit percentage of that slice of humanity embracing the “minimum” state. I am simply a lone voice in the wilderness. Do not fear for that is the mind killer.

Sam Adams commends you: “Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”

      Cordially,

      Bill Buppert

  8. Great article Bill, as usual. I’ve never even heard of Sobran, great quotes, it sounds like he has a mixed past in regards to anti-Jewish stuff, but he was right on a bunch of other subjects. I won’t hold it against him that he was Catholic… 😉

  10. Recommend watching The Last Narc documentary on Amazon Prime Video: The kidnap.torture and murder of DEA agent Kiki Camarena.
The CIA created the Mexican dfs there is an American counterpart created in at least the 1960’s, threatened with dissolving and that threat was terminated in November of 1963 in Dallas, it has grown larger and threatens the notion of a republic.
Law Enforcement and politicians are compromised.
    The corruption is total

  11. There you go again…channeling your inner Edward Abbey. Rule of Law: “If you refuse to pay unjust taxes, your property will be confiscated. If you attempt to defend your property, you will be arrested. If you resist arrest, you will be clubbed. If you defend yourself against clubbing, you will be shot.” These procedures are known as the Rule of Law.

B.B. you are a clear voice to those who listen, tuned and sharp, like a deer’s ears.

  12. Bill, I’m thinking of writing an actual article and maybe try out understandable English for a change. Should I just email you if/when I finish it?

        1. Two music selections for this portion, lyrics help. For time period, not article related.
          Metallica – One
Led Zeppelin – Stairway to Heaven

One selection given to me by a friend:
          Men At Work – It’s a Mistake

  13. I think I have something else to write instead of the article. Going to write a letter to State senate and county sheriff and a few others. Working on wording. Definitely a blatant case of levying war, so working on constitutional based solution, both state and fed. Perhaps will have to write new amendment later. Could try for treason locally and use clause to handle others. Not my preferred solution, however may help prevent major bloodshed, could help maintain individual autonomy as well. Virginia is in a good position for it to work. Should write this on forum but computer dead and too lazy to make another account or unlock it.

    1. I’ll put the letter on the forum when I finish it, it will be very short. It will be the last thing, I believe, I will post on the website. I wrote the above with an intent, but it poses the question that is facing us. Where are our minds and our hearts?
