Indeed…Red Flag laws are a breach of some of the most fundamental liberties and a priori rights, one would think the hasty adoption of them would cause some pause.
The astonishing feature of the red flag “laws” may be the eerily close approximation to the mass political writ that informed the British military seizure of British private property in the month of April in 1775, the government hoplophobes today are simply individualizing the mass confiscation of private weapons that characterized the “shot heard ‘round the world” in the eighteenth century.
Will this result in the deaths of citizens? It already has in Maryland.
Will this trigger a redux of the unpleasantness in the founding era. No one knows but the possibilities certainly exist.
If the government were truly concerned about gun violence, an absurd phraseology that assumes inanimate objects can make humans do bad things, it may disarm its pet coproaches who consistently kill approximately 1500 people a year even though I think that number is lower than actual due to mis-, under- and non-reporting of police mayhem. And the true statistical unicorn is an honest number of inmates killed by guards through intent or neglect in the massive incarceration complex in the US. It may very well double the number of government induced deaths chalked up to the government coproach culture.
One interesting wrinkle to the whole red flag law kerfuffle is that during the House Judiciary Committee’s debate, Colorado Republican-creature Ken Buck suggested red flagging people found in gang data bases. The CPUSA objected, claiming that innocent people are found on those databases. Isn’t that rich?
The MOVE, Waco and Ruby Ridge slaughters were primitive antecedents to the “logic” of red flag laws visited on entire groups of humans predicated on flimsy pre-crime predictions of what could happen. The notion of red flags isn’t new. The legislation simply codifies more directly the historical government fear of armed tax helots. Keep in mind that not one initiative in any chamber of political remoras has suggested disarming the government. You will note that the oversized badged Orcs who come to seize weapons always bring their own firearms, ironically paid for by the very victim from whom they are seizing weapons.
Plenty of scribblers have examined the various aspects and I just want to briefly touch on one aspect that is not getting the attention it deserves. Snitches and informant culture is the foundation of state police behavior in America and the west. It is also the foundational element, the brick and mortar and the very sinews of ALL communist and socialist countries. I’ve written on the informant culture before.
The old Soviet informant culture is even making a comeback in modern Russia.
Even the Mango Mussolini veered into the truth.

Snitch culture is the foundation of all manner of statist regimes from the doddering tyrannical nitwits in homeowners’ association to the thousands of government hot-lines that essentially boil down to “turn in your friends and family for fun and profit”. How would most American coproaching occur without the substantiated or fictional notions that haunt all plea bargain negotiations and the sadistic insistence on turning others to rat or corroborate police state fabrications.

I think even those on par with Buppert’s opinions may forget this from time to time. homeschooling is not easy by any means, but millions of families do it, and they certainly are not the “loud minority” that is setting America back into the 20th century. I don’t plan to be apart of the group of people taking the easy way of “work work work, let someone else raise my kids and we all take vacation when my overlords afford me the time to take a break from slave labor.” and then constantly complaining about the hard aspects of life. Government schooling and taxes interfere tremendously with a real family structure and life. let’s not forget that.
Avoiding government indoctrination from public schools is my biggest reason for homeschooling. as much as some people give another excuse for homeschooling (bullying, not meeting their child’s needs, special needs, etc) this excuse shouldn’t be omitted when you publicly share your want to homeschool. Espcially to friends and family. I wish homeschoolers and parents were more vocal about this.
We home educated all of our children and it was an invaluable antivenin to statist noise. My three boys are especially resistant to all the government supremacism.

I think homeschooling parents tend to keep a low profile for several reasons. By definition they have dependent children so both parents must stay below the radar of the Police State. One can’t homeschool from prison. Many of them live in states where homeschoolers are practically treated like criminals or at least looked upon with suspicion by authorities. Lastly, they are 1-income families. The price of any justice is way beyond their means.
Thank you. Homeschooling isn’t the easiest in Florida, but there certainly is a wonderful community throughout the state. I hope to join a 4-H program in the coming years. My companion and I have been searching for a prospective homestead and humble abode to call home in a more rural area than we live now. I believe my daughter will benefit greatly from country living and learn some wonderful skills. Looking forward to the years to come as a homeschooling family.
Thanks for what you do, Bill. Last week I had a formation of 3 green electronic warfare helicopters fly over my property at treetop level. I assume to intimidate me. It has done just the opposite. I am just grateful that I am not messed with (yet) to the degree that people like yourself that are better known are messed with. My only question about this incident is whether or not these were US aircraft. Since Katrina I have not seen any country designations on any of the military equipment that I see in this country. My guess is that they are using Russians and training them for their future United Nations Missions.

The only reason for any registry is to know where to go when its time to confiscate the item. Registries have no use in discovering the identityi of a perpetrator of crimes ( a mass shooting with an AR-15 was just done – how many do we have on the list – 120 million you say ? Lets to go each location and find out if they were there at the time …).
Registries are only used for future confiscation. What is voluntary now will become mandatory.
Registration is a useful tool, but by no means essential.
Make a ‘LAW’ … let’s say, “Anyone found with a firearm will be imprisoned for 10 years.”
Now, what do you do?
You can’t be seen with a gun … someone will dob you in to the cops So, that means, you have to live a secret life. No-one must know, since everyone is a potential snitch. Friends, family, neighbors. And, if your neighbors already know that you have guns; well, it’s Game Over, for you.
But, you’re smart and manage to conceal some weapons. Tell me, of what use are these guns? You’re disarmed as effectively, by hiding them, as you are by handing them in.
So, in a very real sense, there already exists a complete Registry of firearms’ owners. That Registry is not in the form of paper files, or computer entries … it’s in the form of ‘every person that you know, and every person that sees you going about your business’. At the moment, this Human Registry is poorly-collated, but it won’t take long for all the bits of information to be collected and ordered.
I’m from England. I’ve seen how it works. And, this isn’t the whole of it, by any means.
There is, and always has been, only two options. Fight, or Submit. Everything else is no more than incremental capitulation.
I went to public gun range recently with my AR pistol. a man a couple of lanes down asked me about it, first complimenting it and then went on t say “i’m not law enforcement, but..” about how i would get a felony for it. It’s hard to deal with idiots, but the sad truth is that even complete strangers would snitch on you. Nothing about my firearm was illegal in my state. it’s amazing how much people don’t mind their own business and love to judge in hopes of their own benefit albeit a bribe or getting you put in jail…. and for what? I certainly won’t be taking it out much any longer with any sort of audience.
If you can think of a solution that doesn’t involve killing, let’s hear it.

We made the decision to home school our son and daughter after two years of public warehousing, not at first with thoughts of inuring them against statist indoctrination but because we knew we could do better than the apparatchiks that were mostly concerned with getting offspring of third worlders to learn the basic tenets of English and civilized behavior. The benefits of forging free thinking human beings would come later after the scales from our own eyes were shed. It was a struggle, financially, socially and emotionally but we never regretted it. The kids grew up and eventually wanted to finish as public High school students which they did, by that time immune from the engineering of the communists standing before the class. Those years weren’t easy, but nothing worth doing should be easy and divorcing yourself and your progeny from the web of the State has a worth immeasurable.

Two things:
1) Both my kids went public school. Oldest excelled and went on to college where she was further indoctrinated. She is experiencing severe Cognitive Dissonance as a public school teacher in a poor district. She is a skills teacher and is doing right by the students and getting a daily dose of reality and with my guidance, will eventually come back around. My other barely finished HS (never went) but is quite bright and perceptive on a genius level. In the trades and earns as much/more as sibling. Hindsight, yes, I would have homeschooled but raised them right which is a foundation not easily shaken.
2) I have a snitch in my immediate AO (less than 10 yards, APT dweller). I believe it is the woman sporting a bumper sticker of the local chapter of the Liberal ReSISTERHOOD. I have a subscription to Culper’s FO Intelligence site but am not dox savvy. Trying to determine this woman’s name so I can research/infiltrate her org as well as other local fellow travelers. Suggestions?
